Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe came from a multi-cultural household. Her birthplace was within South London. Both her parents were both English. She grew up in the south of a London council estate and attended The Brit School at age fourteen. At the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she earned an acting BA. She appeared in many performances on stage during her school days, including the King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe first began her acting career with Storm Damage. In the years since, she's made guest appearances for Teachers, Doctors, Casualty, and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's breakout came with 2007's Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream. It was in the role of Colin Farrell (who played the part of Cassandra) and Ewan McGrath. Then, she was the lead in Elisha, the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In addition, she appeared as Ollie in six episodes each in the series Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, Madekwe landed Bambi, the lead role on ITV2's drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe also appeared on the comedy How to Lose Friends and to annoy people (2008). She was also as a character in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path, composed by David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut came in 2009, with the thriller The Beautiful Life. The show aired just two episodes prior to being removed from The CW. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge from February 2011. In late May 2013, it was announced that Madekwe who had played a regular role in the past two seasons, would be leaving the show after a guest-appearance in the premier episode of the season's new episode. From 2014-2016, Madekwe starred as Tituba in the TV series Salem. Madekwe was married to her long-time lover, Iddo. Both have appeared in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also starred as partners in Salem.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress, was raised in a huge family from Hamilton, Ontario. Ashley Leggat joined Roy and Patty as well her older siblings, Brett, Todd and Bram and Rob. Ashley's brothers, who were who were all extremely athletic, played hockey during the winter months and played baseball in the summer, so that she grew up playing in parks and arenas. Ashley was never able to walk. She would dance. At just 2 1/2 years old when she was a little older, she began to take part in Baby Ballet. Ashley began to be a dancer immediately after that. Ashley was a professional dancer across all major divisions up until her graduation from high school. The competitions she participated in included ballet, jazz, tap as well as pointe and Acrobatics. Every major dance festivals, like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and others, have awarded her with the title "top Soloist".
